CALABARZON DELEGATES LEAVE MARKS ON HISTORIC UGNAYAN 2019

Gathering nearly a thousand PSHS scholars, staffs, teachers, and administrators across the nation, Ugnayan 2019: The System-wide Pisay Gender and Development Activity and Sportsfest was celebrated and held at Koronadal City, South Cotabato from October 7 – 11, 2019. Philippine Science High School – SOCCSKSARGEN Region Campus hosted this historic gathering and also served as one of the venues for various competitions.

The sixteen campuses were divided into four clusters, with each cluster represented by a particular color. Cluster 1 (red) included the campuses in Northern and Central Luzon. Meanwhile, the campuses in Southern Luzon and Bicol Region represented the 2nd cluster (blue). Cluster 3 (yellow) was composed of Visayas and CARAGA region campuses while the rest of Mindanao campuses represented the 4th cluster (red).

The Philippine Science High School – CALABARZON Region Campus delegation was composed of 40 students and 20 teachers. Each delegate participated in various sports and cultural competition such as basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, Larong Lahi, amazing race, chess, swimming, frisbee, quiz show, dancesports, pageant, and rondalla competition. The delegation proudly bore their blue sports attire as they represent Cluster 2 in different competitions.

Members of the delegation who garnered medals and awards include:

10. Christian Concordia (Gold, Chess)

11. Kristoffer Nolan Morada (Silver, Basketball)

Cluster 4 was declared as the over-all champion with Cluster 2 ending in the 4th position.
