PSHS TOAST TO EXCELLENCE 2020

Last August 24, 2020, the Philippine Science High School CALABARZON Region Campus hosted a virtual recognition ceremony via Facebook Live, entitled “Toast to Excellence 2020”. (http://facebook.com/groups/915718678911543 ) The school celebrated its students’ triumphs and gave recognition to those with exemplary academic performance for the school year 2019-2020. An audio-visual presentation featuring the campus’s physical facilities and services was shown to help the audience remember the halls and the rooms that provided shelter to the cultivation of the students’ talents and proclivities. The opening remarks were delivered by the Curriculum and Instruction Division Chief, Mr. Joni Albarico. Sir Joni mentioned that although this school year seemed like a rollercoaster ride, it was still important that an event for honoring the students’ hard work be held, albeit virtually. The beloved Campus Director of the Philippine Science High School CALABARZON Region Campus, Dr. Jose Andaya, introduced the guest speaker, Dr. Josette Biyo. Dr. Biyo, the director of Science Education Institute of the Department of Science and Technology, gave a very heartwarming and inspiring message to the students, parents, and teachers of Pisay CALABARZON. The school gave recognition to students with leadership achievement and for winning academic competitions. It prepared a total of 482 certificates for students who made it to the Director’s List. As the campus recognizes and shows appreciation for the students’ hard work, it also hopes to continue welcoming the brightest and most passionate students. In connection to this pursuit, the virtual event also showcased an AVP that details the requirements for taking the National Competitive Examination. The chief of the Student Services Division, Mr. Jorge Job, officially ended the program with his message of hope to the PISAY CALABARZON community in these trying times.
