PISAY CALABARZON PAUSES FOR THE BLESSING OF THE STATE-OF-THE-ART E-LEARNING HUB,

MULTIMEDIA CENTER, AND MULTI-PURPOSE GYMNASIUM

Fr. Jojo Africa joined Philippine Science High School CALABARZON Region Campus during the blessing of the E-Learning Hub and Multimedia Center and Multi-Purpose Gymnasium on October 18, 2019 in Batangas City.

After months of anticipation, the Multimedia Center that seats 1000 people and the Multi-Purpose Gymnasium capable of holding a crowd of 800 were finally opened to the excited students, employees, and administrators of the campus. Dr. Jose M. Andaya, the Campus Director, together with the Division Chiefs Ms. Rochelle M. Doce for Finance and Mr. Joni M. Albarico for Curriculum and Instruction, led the ribbon cutting while the rest of the community members waited to be ushered inside.

The E-Learning Hub and the Multimedia Center Building boasts of a lobby/receiving/assembly/exhibit area upon entrance. It also showcases a spacious auditorium with a stage, backstage, dressing, prop, and comfort rooms. The comfortable seats reflect the respective color of the batches. This state of the art auditorium shall be the venue for selected programs like graduation. The E-Learning Hub at the second floor has a huge area for patrons’ tables and chairs as well as a circulation desk. This common area will also be used as Computer Area, Periodical Area, Reference Area, Reading Area, General Circulation Area, and Filipiniana Area. The Hub also has a designated space for a storage/equipment room, a multimedia room that can accommodate 30 persons, an audio room, a staff lounge with comfort room, a baggage area, and an office of the Librarian.

A High Ceiling Lobby welcomes guests in the Multi-Purpose Gymnasium. Apart from the basketball court equipped with motorized basketball goals and a stage, there are also dressing rooms, a clinic, a lounge, a dance studio, a storage area, shower rooms, a music room, and a control room in the ground floor. The Hallway, Faculty Room, Fitness Room, Lecture Room, and Comfort Rooms are located in the mid-floor.

The blessing of the new facilities concluded with a nostalgic video presentations of the progressing PSHS CALABARZON and a luncheon attended by the administrators, employees, and GPTA officers.
